Name Changes and Employee Data Maintenance

One of the Employee Services Center goals is to provide easy processes that allow our employees the ability to update their employee records in our university systems as needed. The processes outlined on this page may be used to update your personal information in the university systems.

  • Name Changes

    The PeopleSoft HCM Self Service module allows employees to change their name. You may access this module at the following site: https://selfservice.uth.tmc.edu/hrss/signon.html. Navigate to the Personal Information menu, and select Name Change. You must present your new Social Security Card to Human Resources after submitting your request. You may either present in person at the Human Resources Office: 7000 Fannin, Suite 150, Houston, TX, or scan the social security card and email to the Human Resources mailbox: [email protected]. Name Change requests will not be processed until Human Resources receives a copy of the new Social Security Card. If you scan and email a copy of your card, make sure to white out your social security number except the last four digits. Enter 'Name Change,' your previous name, and emplid in the email subject line. Please note, we can only make a name change with an updated social security card and not a marriage license or a social security card receipt.

  • Address Changes

    The PeopleSoft HCM Self Service module allows employees to change their personal information. You may access this module at the following site: https://selfservice.uth.tmc.edu/hrss/signon.html. Here you are able to enter/update your address by selecting "Addresses" under the "Personal Details" icon.

  • UTHealth Houston E-mail Address Changes

    Upon successfully having your name changed in the university systems, you may contact the Helpdesk at 713-486-4848 and make a request to have your e-mail address changed to match your new name in the university systems.

  • Other Personal Information Changes

    The PeopleSoft HCM Self Service module allows employees to change their personal information. You may access this module at the following site: https://selfservice.uth.tmc.edu/hrss/signon.html. Here you are able to enter/update the following by selecting the “Personal details” icon.

  • Personal Information Correction Requests

    For any correction requests of personal information that cannot be changed via Self Service, please e-mail your request to [email protected].
