The Corporate and Foundation Relations team can help faculty and staff determine if the needs of their research or program match a prospective corporate or foundation partner’s philanthropic goals.
The team can help you:
-
Identify potential private funding opportunities
The Corporate and Foundation Relations team monitors opportunities for funding from corporate and foundation donors. The team will identify whether your initiative will align with the donor’s interest, helping to ensure time is spent efficiently to successfully submit funding applications. If you are interested in submitting your project for consideration, complete a project funding request form.
-
Match your initiative to opportunities that have the greatest likelihood of success
Because many foundations will only consider a limited number of requests from an organization, it’s important to notify the Corporate and Foundation Relations team if you are interested in applying to a specific organization. Once a funding opportunity is matched with your project, the Corporate and Foundation Relations team can assist you in creating LOIs and proposals for corporations and private foundations.
-
Coordinate site visits and engagement meetings
Site visits help prospective donors understand your initiative and how their support can impact health outcomes and improve lives in our communities. Site visits and engagement opportunities may be requested by a donor as a condition of funding or offered as an invitation by the faculty member or researcher. If a foundation or corporate sponsor reaches out to you for a site visit, please inform the Corporate and Foundation Relations team immediately. They will help facilitate the visit with the donor to ensure the most successful outcome.
-
Develop stewardship reports and opportunities
Stewardship creates a feedback loop where donors receive updates on the outcomes of their contributions, fostering trust and accountability between the organization and UTHealth Houston. The Corporate and Foundation Relations team can help you coordinate reports and touchpoints that meet the donor’s expectations and comply with stipulations in the gift agreement.
