  Our Honor Your Caregiver program provides an avenue for you to acknowledge a wonderful caregiver—a nurse, physician, dentist, or multitude of staff—who stood by you during your health care journey. Your gift to support UTHealth Houston in the name of your caregiver will help train the next generation who will care for our communities for years to come.

• Matching gifts

  You may be able to double or triple the impact of your gift if your employer offers a matching gift program. Some employers will even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Use the search engine to check if your employer participates. If they do, complete their matching gift form, and we will take care of the rest.

• Is my gift to UTHealth Houston tax-deductible? What is your tax ID number?

  Yes, UTHealth Houston is an agency within the government of the State of Texas and U.S. Internal Revenue Code 170(c)(1) provides for the allowance of tax-deductible contributions to our organization. Other provisions under the IRS Code that allow for tax-deductible contributions for various purposes to our organization or parts of our organization include: 170(b)(1)(A)(v); 2055(a)(1); 2106(a)(2)(A)(i); 2522(a)(1); 2522(b)(1).

• Who can I contact with questions about my recent gift?

  Please contact the Office of Development at 713-500-3200 or send an email to giving@uth.tmc.edu.

• How do I make a donation in honor or in memory of someone?

  In the section titled Tribute information of the online donation form, you may choose in honor of/in memory of as the Type of Tribute. Please type in the name of the tribute in the appropriate fields and you may select to mail a letter on your behalf to the person or to the family of the person, depending on the tribute type. Rest assured; the gift amount will remain confidential.

• Can I designate how my gift will be used?

  Yes, when filling out the online donation form, you may choose to support the school, program, or scholarship most meaningful to you. You may also choose to split your gift among two or more areas that interest you by adding another gift. Use the Comment section of the donation form to designate your gift to a specific fund.

• How do I make a gift of securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds)?

  When making a gift of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, please email stock@utsystem.edu or call 512-579-5142 to begin the process of gifting securities to a UT institution.

  Note: Gifts of securities typically take several days to complete. Please consult your CPA or tax advisor to determine the tax implications of your gift.

• Do you accept gifts through donor-advised funds?

  Yes. A donor-advised fund is in an investment account used for charitable giving. It offers an immediate tax benefit to you and allows you the flexibility to grant funds to charities of your choice. If you cannot donate using our Federal Tax-ID 74-1761309, contact us at 713-500-3200 to discuss alternative options through your donor-advised funds.
