The Center for Education and Information Resources supports the school's students, faculty, and staff by providing educational technology support, classroom audio-visual support, classroom and exam scheduling, application administration support for all center-initiated applications, and website infrastructure. This team works collaboratively with UTHealth Houston's IT Department ensuring that all policies are followed and helps facilitate projects.
This group supports over 100 UT Physicians clinics and 23 clinical and basic science departments. Team members apply innovative strategies to streamline acquisitions, moves, and new clinic openings to ensure smooth transitions and operational excellence. By embracing new technologies and approaches, they empower the UT Physicians clinics to deliver high-quality health care services to their patients. The team offers consultation and project management expertise to medical school departments and researchers, employing the methodologies needed to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
This IT service department supports the school's students, faculty, and staff by providing classroom audio-visual support and classroom IT infrastructure, as well as hardware and software support for all of the school's own computing equipment, including servers located in the UTHealth Houston Data Center. They also ensure IT policies are followed, provide solutions for IT-related projects, and handle requests for new equipment, software licenses, access rights, and dataset subscriptions.
The Academic Computing and Information Technology team provides educational technology and classroom audio-visual support, systems administration, IT project planning and management, and application development. The team also oversees the architecture of the graduate school's database and related applications and all interfaces between the university and vetted third-party systems, as well as technical oversight of the graduate school's website.
The Technology Services and Informatics team is the driving force for the School of Dentistry's technology innovations, training, and hardware support. This team provides support for students, faculty, and staff in the areas of library services, clinical and educational technology, media production, and web services. It is also home to the informatics research group, which provides support and assistance with data collection, analysis, presentation, and visualization.
The School of Public Health IT Services is responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance, support, and inventory management of all school computers across six Texas locations, as well as all classroom technology and any conference rooms with videoconferencing features. A dedicated staff of developers supports the school's business and research needs, and assists staff with database creation and management, and other services.
The institute's resources are delivered statewide to over 47,000 teachers through the CLI Engage platform by a team that provides IT support in four main areas. A help center supports users through tickets and automated chat bots. The functional team gathers requirements from subject matter experts to continuously improve the platform. The instructional design team collaborates with experts to provide research-based and developmentally appropriate online courses to stakeholders. And finally, the research coordination team provides project delivery support to the programs and projects.
The HR Technology team focuses on managing and optimizing technology solutions to simplify human resources service delivery. The team is responsible for leveraging technology to streamline HR processes, enhance employee experiences, and support overall business objectives by extracting data for reports and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.
