I. POLICY AND GENERAL STATEMENT
The naming of facilities or programs is one manner in which the University can honor individuals important to the institution, give prominent recognition for eminence in intellectual, artistic and other endeavors associated with the mission of the University or show its appreciation for a substantial gift benefiting the University. Any recommendation for the naming of facilities, outdoor areas of the campus or programs shall be based on what is in the best interest of the University and shall be in accordance with The University of Texas System Regents' Rules and Regulations, Series 80307, Naming Policy.
Recommendations for naming must be reviewed by the President and Vice President, Development and Public Affairs prior to any discussion with or commitment to a potential honoree.
