I. POLICY AND GENERAL STATEMENT

Account managers are directly responsible for managing money allocated to them as account managers.

In all cases, exercising authority and responsibility for budgeting, expending and accounting for such money will be in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, the policies and procedures of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston ("University"), and any applicable federal or state laws.

II. PROCEDURE

Once approved, budgeted funds are set up for use in the financial management system. The appropriate financial department will advise responsible parties of account information. Responsible parties who meet the University’s criteria for access to these funds may then proceed to use budgeted funds through the financial management system in accordance with University policies and procedures.
