The Office of Development advances the mission of UTHealth Houston by seeking and securing philanthropic support for its programs in service to students and society. The office comprises four giving programs—Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Major and Principal Gifts, and Gift Planning.

Director, Gift Planning II
UTHealth Houston is seeking a
Director, Gift Planning II to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive gift planning and fundraising efforts for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of planned and blended gift prospects. The Office of Development advances the mission of UTHealth Houston by seeking and securing philanthropic support for its programs in service to students and the community. The Director, Gift Planning II will have experience fostering relationships and will utilize their knowledge of charitable estate and gift planning strategies to support donors when making key philanthropic decisions. The incumbent will carry a portfolio of around 70 individuals, contact leads for the marketing program, steward Heritage Society members and work with gift officers to support their non-cash asset gift strategies.

Executive Director, Principal Gifts
UTHealth Houston seeks an established fundraiser to serve as the Executive Director, Principal Gifts (Executive Director). This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic philanthropy team and help support one of the most respected academic medical centers. Reporting to the Vice President, Principal Gifts and Strategic Initiatives, the Executive Director will play a pivotal role in advancing medical research breakthroughs, shaping the future of medicine through education, and enhancing patient care.

Senior Media Relations Specialist in the Office of Public Affairs
Can you create a winning media pitch? Are you a great writer? Do you know what makes a good news story? We are looking for someone who will work within our Public Affairs Department to promote the heart and soul of what makes UTHealth Houston so special. UTHealth Houston is looking for a Senior Media Relations Specialist who will be responsible for promoting the university's strategic priorities and protecting the university's brand by developing and executing media, public relations, and social media strategies to inform and engage external and internal audiences. You must be able to foster relationships with faculty, staff, and reporters. Excellent pitching and writing, a sense for news, and communication skills are key. You will join an energetic team of people covering seven health-related schools as we tell their stories to local, state, national, and international media.
