“Archer Fellow Alumni Ambassadors are official Archer Center representatives who are available to speak with prospective fellows, current fellows, faculty, and staff about their experience as Archer Fellows in Washington, D.C. They serve prospective and current students of the Archer Fellowship Program by giving advice and sharing their experiences through the application process and during the fellowship semester.”

Grace Drew

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston & UTHealth Houston School of Public Health

Internship: National Center for Health Research

About: Grace Drew is an MD/MPH candidate with a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in women’s and gender studies and creative writing from The University of Texas at Austin. Through the Graduate Archer Fellowship Program, Drew completed an internship with the National Center for Health Research. Drew is interested in the intersection of women’s health, public health, and health policy. She currently serves as president of Medical Students for Choice and plans to use her experience as a Graduate Archer Fellow to inform women’s health policy and strengthen her role as a future physician-advocate.

Likhit Agrawal

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston

Internship: U.S. House of Representatives, E&C Committee

About: Likhit Agrawal is a medical student at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston's McGovern Medical School. He graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience, where he first realized his passion for the intersection of medicine and policy. As an undergraduate Archer Fellow, Agrawal was a health policy intern at the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. Following that life-changing experience, he served as a legislative aide for the Texas House of Representatives during the 88th Texas Legislative Session. In the graduate fellowship, Agrawal interned for the US House of Representatives Energy & Commerce Committee- Health Subcommittee. He has a strong passion for systems-level healthcare changes and is excited to pursue those discussions in the future.

Elizabeth Nguyen

UTHealth Houston School of Public Health

Internship: Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute.

About: Elizabeth Nguyen is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Education at UTHealth Houston, building on her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from UT Austin. As part of the Graduate Archer Fellowship Program, she wrote a policy paper advocating for SNAP access for former drug felons and completed an internship at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute. Passionate about the intersection of food, public health, and health policy, Nguyen aims to leverage her fellowship experience to drive effective policies that promote health equity in her future career.
