Jessica Wise, PhD, MPH
Postdoctoral Fellow with the McGovern Center for Humanities & Ethics
Biography
Dr. Jessica Wise received her B.S. in Human Biology in 2006 and her Masters in Public Health with an emphasis on Health Services Organization in 2017. She went on to complete her PhD in Health Economics and Health Policy at the School of Public Health at UTHealth in Houston. Dr. Wise continued in her role as part of the UTHealth Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) as she transitioned from a predoctoral to a postdoctoral fellow at the McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics. Dr. Wise research interests center around structural determinants of health and how that impacts health status across countries and across populations in the US. She is also passionate about teaching health policy using best practices of adult learning.
