Biography
I received my PhD in Biochemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, India, in 2018. I joined my first postdoc at University of Houston in 2019 in College of Pharmacy. In 2022 I joined UTHealth as a postdoc in the Department of Anesthesiology. My scientific research is in the field of renal, cardiovascular, obesity, dyslipidemia and diabetes associated inflammation. My studies focusses on the inflammatory processes and immune system modulation leading to the etiopathogenesis of these diseases.

To study the mechanisms of acute and chronic liver injury with a focus on murine models of ethanol feeding. My research focus on the mechanisms of inflammation contributing to alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). I also focus on targeting the inflammatory master switch, macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) in the liver, and MIF-mediated signaling in specific cell types through novel means.
