Research Description
My current research is focused on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of anxiety and depression as well as related behavioral deficits by utilizing several transgenic conditional knock-out mouse models and advanced analytical tools. We investigated the role of the classical complement pathway and Innate Lymphoid Cells (counterpart of innate immunity) in stress-induced depressive and anxiety-like behavior.
