Biography
Dr. Javidkar received his Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Adelaide (Australia). His main interest, among others, is to understand how genes and proteins have evolved through evolutionary times and how historical events and the associated selection pressures have shaped molecules of life.

Research Description
Dr. Javidkar's current research is mainly focused on functional genomics. His program is to elucidate the evolutionary conservation and functionality of many translated open reading frames (tORF) in the human genome encoding small peptides and their link to human health.
