Biography

Dr. Solmaz AghaAmiri received her Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory sciences from IUMS, Iran and her Master's degree in medical microbiology from TUMS, Iran. Then she worked as a research scientist in Pasteur institute of Iran for two years, where she found her passion in Biotechnology. She resumed her academic studies in pharmaceutical biotechnology and graduated with a PhD degree in 2017 from SBUMS (Iran). Research Description

Dr. AghaAmiri is interested in targeted agents for cancer detection and treatment. In her research she converts clinically approved monoclonal antibodies, antibody fragments or peptides and conjugate them to cytotoxic proteins or chemotherapy drugs for targeted tumor treatment, or with fluorescent dyes for development of specific probes for fluorescent guided surgery in cancer. During her PhD thesis and her postdoc she has has been working on targeting different malignancies including leukemia and lymphoma, breast cancer and neuroendocrine tumors.
