Emily Stevens

Prior to joining the Stroke Recovery Research Team, Emily worked as a clinical occupational therapist with stroke and brain injury survivors. In clinical practice, she specialized in visual deficits, managing spasticity, disorders of consciousness, and returning to work after a neurological injury. Her research interests include improving standard of care assessments and interventions for upper extremity deficits after a stroke.
Emily is originally from Georgia, but has been in Houston for all of her professional career. She enjoys visiting the museums and parks throughout Houston.
