Call for T32 Applications
T32 co-directors Jeffrey Frost, PhD, and Joya Chandra, PhD, are currently inviting trainees to apply for the NIH-funded Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences T32 Training Program for appointments beginning January 1, 2025. Trainees accepted into the T32 program will be eligible to receive up to two (2) years of full salary, and partial support toward tuition, health insurance, and travel, in addition to resources and training in clinical and translational science.
To be eligible, an applicant must be conducting clinical or translational research (as defined here). The T32 program is open to early-stage PhD students (2nd or 3rd year), MD/PhD students (1st or 2nd PhD year) or postdoctoral scholars (PhD, 0-1 years of postdoctoral training), at any UTHealth school, MD Anderson Cancer Center, or any CCTS associated institution.
The successful applicant's project must be scientifically well-grounded with a high potential for translation. This includes, but is not limited to, students who currently work in the following areas:
- Drug development
- Disease-oriented research
- Clinical or patient-oriented research
- Therapeutic strategies
- Biology of disease or pathogenesis
- Disease prevention or risk reduction
- Projects with potential for clinical insight
