The Office of Development advances the mission of UTHealth by seeking and securing philanthropic support for its programs in service to students and society. The office comprises four giving programs—Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Major and Principal Gifts, and Gift Planning, as well as offices in each of the six schools and major institutes.
Development Writer II, Office of Development
This person will support our Office of Development as part of a strong tenured team consisting of a lead, four writers, and a project manager. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, writing, and editing content that supports the department’s efforts to raise funds and steward donors. Writing projects may include proposals and annual giving solicitations, stewardship pieces, alumni engagement projects, web content, donor and patient stories, and social media content.
Data Management Coordinator, Office of Development
This person must be a database pro who can focus on accurate information and detailed work. The Data Management Coordinator will maintain prospect and donor records, including biographical and contact information, activity participation, and other information through the fundraising database Raiser’s Edge.
University Communication Specialist Focused on Information Technology, Office of Public Affairs
This person will focus on Information Technology across the UTHealth system of schools and clinics. Responsibilities will include writing technology-related announcements, promoting new technology tools, creating professional reports, and other IT-focused communications. Success for this position involves taking highly technical information and translating it for a general audience.
Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Office of Development
This person will develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive fundraising efforts for foundations, corporations, organizations, and/or associations.
Assistant Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, Office of Development
This person will manage multiple innovative, integrated, and creative initiatives aimed at recognizing the impact of donor gifts. This role will ensure accurate, appropriate, and consistent engagement for mid-level donors, which includes writing and editing collateral; actively participating in enhancing existing content and activities to have a stewardship point of view; and partnering with the team to see all projects through.
