In this upcoming TEPHI Grand Rounds webinar, guest speaker Dr. Ali Khan will explore the current landscape of viral hemorrhagic fevers, including Marburg and Lassa fever. This session will provide an overview of recent global outbreaks caused by these viruses and their impact on public health preparedness and response to infectious disease emergencies. Dr. Khan, Dean of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Public Health and former Assistant Surgeon General, brings decades of expertise in emerging infectious diseases, bioterrorism preparedness, and global health security. He has led responses to major public health emergencies, including Ebola, SARS, and anthrax, and has played a pivotal role in shaping national and global preparedness efforts.
