Event Description
The Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at McGovern Medical School is sponsoring a one-day retreat for those interested in the molecular basis of infectious diseases. The retreat will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, 1825 Pressler Street. There are two keynote speakers for the 2025 MBID Retreat: Alejandro Aballay, PharmD, PhD - Dean and Professor of Genetics at MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Julie Segre, PhD- Chief and NIH Distinguished Investigator of the Translational and Functional Genomics Branch, National Human Genome Research Institute.
